Labyrinth of Lies

The film is dedicated to the so-called Frankfurt Auschwitz trials – under such a title trials of the guards, warders and other staff of Auschwitz concentration camp, which took place in Frankfurt am Main in the 1960s, entered German history.  A young and idealistic public prosecutor Johann Radmann reveals information exposing the criminal activities of the former staff of the concentration camp. With the support of the prosecutor-general Fritz Bauer, he starts an investigation, which leads to horrific results for the main character, and also changes his ideology. The main theme of the film is the conflict between those who want to forget the past for the sake of national reconciliation in conditions of “economic miracle” and those who strives to the establishment of justice.

Two completely different young people (Karl, who is a successful mathematician who has a prestigious job at the insurance office, but who has nothing in his life, and Hans, who does not have a permanent job, who has no achievements, no money, but he is happy and enjoys every minute of his life). At the request of the boss, Karl gets a job at the car rental company, and here gets to know another newcomer – Hans, who is very talkative. They begin to work together rather accidentally and become real friends later. The same street that starts in West and ends in East Berlin. There are “Stasi” agents and political slogans in the east,and  bananas, dirty magazines, “Rolling Stones” CDs and nylon tights in the west. But Micha and his friends are not interested in fundamental differences between the “proletarian” East and “bourgeois” West. They just care about rock music, drinking and girls. Especially Miriam – incomparable girl who can stop a traffic making her grand entrance. Micha is willing to do anything for her. Love to unattainable Miriam, a dramatic change in the fate of his best friend Mario and civil disturbances on the street make Micha to think about his future…

The Tunnel

Berlin, Germany, 1961. It is time of building of the Berlin Wall. GDR swimming champion Harry Melchior illegally moved to West Berlin. But his beloved sister Lotte and his family stayed in the East. His friends also had relatives in the GDR, who are waiting to be taken to the West. Harry offers to his friend, an engineer Matthias Hiller, to design and build the tunnel to East Berlin. Young girl Friederike ‘Fritzi’ Scholz joins them, wanting to “get” her bridegroom, but Harry suspects her of betraying. However, he changed his opinion after Fritz saves his life in the tunnel collapse.

Meanwhile, the Stasi never sleeps. Head of the Office for Combating illegal emigration Colonel Kröger recruits Hiller’s girlfriend Carola who was caught while trying to escape to the West (Hiller managed to escape). Carola getting close to Lotte, who has received news from Harry…

Carola is a German woman living in Switzerland, she is on vacation with her boyfriend in Kenya. Here Carola meets Maasai warrior Lemalian dressed in traditional costume and immediately falls in love with him. Carola permanently moved to Kenya, where she starts her businesses. At the same time she tries to fight with customs of the local population, which seem to be wild. For example, female circumcision and accusations of witchcraft. After a few years of their marriage Carola gives birth to a daughter. Lemalian begins to be more and more jealous of his wife, he is growing more suspicious the baby is not his. Tired of this, Carola decides to leave the country with her daughter.

There Vincent meets Marie who has an eating disorder and Alexander, a compulsive young man. After the conflict with Dr. Rose, Marie steals the keys to her car and offers Vincent run away together from the hospital, and they are joined by Alexander by chance. The three of them are going to Italy, to the sea…

It is a story about Messner brothers and, mainly, their climbimg to the top of the Himalayas Kashmir Valley in 1970. Having undergone severe hardship, extreme physical injury, being on the brink of exhaustion, Reinhold and Günther reached a fateful height and only then they fully realize that it is the descent from the mountains could cost them their lives.

Having returned, Reinhold Messner has told that he lost his younger brother out of sight down the western slope of the mountain Nanga Parbat, that Gunter was almost certainly swept away by an avalanche. Witnesses claim that Messner sacrificed the life of his brother for the sake of his ambitions: he left sick Günther. Reinhold Messner will try to sue colleagues, go look for his brother’s body, will make more than one outstanding climbing, but will always remain in the shadow of this tragic accident. And only 35 years later, one of the greatest mysteries in the history of mountaineering will be revealed…
